Frequently asked questions

Is all your jewellery handmade?

• Yes. I make all the jewellery at my workshop in Illogan, Cornwall. I design and make every item myself and they are without a doubt made with love.

What sort of quality can I expect?

I have been using most of my bead suppliers for many years, and jewellery I have made for myself is still going strong. When acquiring beads from new sources, I make pieces of jewellery and trial their longevity myself. If they do not pass my quality control check, they will not be used in my shop.
• Seed Beads - I use good quality beads in my jewellery including Japanese Miyuki, Matsuno, and Czech Preciosa Beads. Their regularity of size, durability and finish by far surpass the cheaper alternatives available on the market. Please read the item description for details of the beads used.
• With every design longevity is at the forefront of my mind. The aim is for your jewellery to remain wearable for as long as you want to wear it.

How do I ensure my beads stay in good condition?

Whilst it is important to wear your beads how and when you want to wear them, the following advice will maintain their longevity.
• Avoid contact with water - whilst beads can be worn in the bath/shower, sea or pool and will remain intact, the water may degrade their finish.
• Avoid contact with chemicals such as perfume, body creams, hairspray, household cleaners, or nail polish remover.
• Remove jewellery before exercising and bed - whilst beads can be worn, perspiration may degrade their finish. Removing your jewellery will also avoid the risk of accidental breakage.
• Store your beads in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight whilst not being worn.

Can you offer a bespoke design just for me?

• Yes. Time is the only thing that prevents more options being available in my shop. Any special requests are welcome, and providing they are within the scope of my bead selection and technique, I will endeavour to create something just for you. Bespoke designs will take a little longer to prepare for you. I will send pictures for approval prior to listing them for you. Your ideas often inspire new ‘spin off’ designs for my shop.

Do you offer gift tags and gift packaging?

• All my jewellery is delivered to you in an organza gift bag and packaged in a letterbox size cardboard box which is suitable for gifting (as shown in the item images). A gift tag can be attached with a personal message.

What delivery options do you offer?

I aim to have your order ready within 24 hours (including weekends and bank holidays) however I may occasionally prise myself out of my workshop, and the set dispatch times will apply.

Packages are sent to you, via Royal Mail Second Class post as standard. The estimated delivery times are 2 to 5 business days however I cannot guarantee the delivery date. In most instances your order will arrive within this timeframe. You can upgrade to First Class at the checkout if you prefer.
Should you need your order urgently and require tracked 24 or next day delivery send me a message ideally prior to placing your order and we can make the necessary arrangements.

My order hasn’t arrived yet, what should I do?

Postal deliveries can be unpredictable, and occasionally delivery may take longer than estimated.

If your order has not arrived in the estimated timeframe, consider first if you have had any post at all or has it been sporadic? Check with your local sorting office to see if they have any staffing issues.
Send me a message so we can manage the delayed delivery and work out an agreeable solution.
The likelihood is that the package will arrive, however on occasion I have experienced a two week delay even on First class post.

I’ve accidentally broken my jewellery. Can you help?

Yes. I anticipate you will love your beads so much you will wear them a lot. This will of course give rise to the possibility of accidental breakage. Should this occur, send me a message and a picture so I can assess the damage and work out a solution.

Can I return the jewellery for a refund or exchange?

Yes. You can return the jewellery. If you contact me via Etsy messaging I will provide the full details for a refund or exchange.
